Q: How long has Salesmaster been in business?
A: Salesmaster has been in business since 1961 and is still growing. We have a highly trained staff to assist you with all your flooring needs.

Q: What are the hours at the counter? And when are your phone hours?
A: Hours are for both locations:
Counter Hours: 6:00am to 4:30pm
Phone Hours: 7:30am to 4:30pm

Q: Where are your New York and Massachusetts facilities located?
A: Salesmaster’s New England SuperCenter is located in Chicopee, Massachusetts and the New York SuperCenter is in Deer Park, New York. Between the two locations, Salesmaster has over 100,000 square feet of warehouse space.

Q: How can I get next day delivery?
A: Salesmaster delivers next day to 90% of our territory for orders called in before 3:00pm.

Q: Do you deliver to job sites?
A: Yes.

Q: What are your territories?
A: Tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT) and New England Area (MA, ME, VT, RI, NH).

Q: Can I submit an order via email?
A: Yes. Just send your order or inquiry to orders@salesmaster.com and one of Salesmaster’s flooring solutions specialists will handle your order. The same applies for inquiries.

Q: Who can buy from Salesmaster?
A: Salesmaster is a wholesale distributor that sells to the flooring industry. If you are not in the industry, Salesmaster customer service will be pleased to direct you to one of the organization’s distributors where you can purchase materials.

Q: Why should architects and designers specify your products?

Salesmaster has A&D staff support for architects and designers, as well as our customer base.
In many cases Salesmaster has exclusivity on the products. This is a benefit as architects know who represents as well as who will be selling the products.
Salesmaster can provide hands-on assistance with LEED documentation.
Salesmaster has the ability to provide solutions from subfloor and moisture prep, to hundreds of floor finish materials.
Salesmaster provides solutions to solve problems on multiple levels given new technologies in adhesives, underlayment products, sound attenuation, and the flooring materials themselves.
Salesmaster A&D staff has many years of experience in specifying flooring products and flooring-related products.
Salesmaster offers products that cover the full range of various flooring materials based on price and quality, which creates a source of materials for almost every application being designed.
Most every product line represented is flexible in color and design. Salesmaster representatives take advantage of this as they consult with designers when suggesting flooring considerations.
Salesmaster can match multiple products (e.g. underlayment, adhesives, and flooring) that will provide a finished product that designers can be confident in and will please their customers…something manufacturers' representatives typically cannot do. Most representatives deal with one line where we can offer an entire package, as well as packages-within-packages, such as the lifetime moisture warranty offered through HB Fuller on the D-250/DSP/Chapco adhesive program.

Q: Why do I need to use a nose filler for treads?
A: Roppe ECC 2 part epoxy caulking compound should be used on all rubber and vinyl stair treads and nosings to prevent flexing and cracking.

Q: What is the best adhesive to use for treads and tile?
A: There are 3 adhesives to choose from:

ROP-360-1 part acrylic adhesive for interior installation of Roppe rubber and vinyl stair treads and tile with non-rolling and non-lateral shear applications.
ROP535U-Universal urethane enhanced epoxy adhesive for indoor installation of Roppe rubber and vinyl stair treads and tile in areas where the flooring is subject to rolling loads, lateral shear stress, topical moisture, and over metal and other non-porous floors including radiant heat floors.
ROP-435-2 part epoxy adhesive for indoor installation of Roppe rubber tile over porous and non-porous (excluding metal and other flexing substrates) rolling loads, lateral shear loads. This adhesive is NOT recommended for Roppe North Coast Collection.

Q. Which of your carpets do you keep in stock?
A: Our goal is to keep all colors of all carpet lines in stock.

Q: Do you edge your own matting?
A: Yes. We edge everything in house, and it takes a few days to do the job.

Q: What brand heat tape do you carry?
A: We carry Orcon heat tape.

Q: What tool vendors do you carry?
A: Orcon, Crain, Roberts, Taylor, Gundlach, Sinclair, MD, and Duofast.

Q: How long does it take for carpet to be cut?
A: It can take about 15 minutes depending on how many cuts you ordered.

Q: Can I call in a carpet order and you have it ready when I get there?
A: We will happily take your order before you arrive, but we only cut carpet once you have arrived and the cutting should be about 15 minutes depending on how many cuts you need.

Q: Do you have to use seam sealer with every carpet installation?
A: Yes, ALL carpet manufacturers state in their installation instructions that you must use seam sealer;, otherwise, you void their warranty.

Q: What kind of seam sealer does Salesmaster carry?
A: We have several. The Chapco 31 is a white seam sealer usually used in tack and pad installations. It is sold in half pints and quarts. We also sell a product from Durabond called D815. This is a brown multi-purpose seam sealer, which is generally used in commercial glue down installations to seam the carpet. It is available in pints and quarts. This product can also be used to glue down tackless strips and vinyl edging.
