Salesmaster Flooring Solutions was founded in 1961 by Bert Kurtz as a small counter operation in East Meadow, New York. Since then, the company has grown into one of the USA’s top flooring and installation supplies distributors.
Throughout the many decades that Salesmaster has been in business, the company has demonstrated consistent growth, adding new suppliers, customers, and territories on a regular basis. Much of Salesmaster’s success can be attributed to its philosophy of treating customers, vendors, and employees alike with the highest level of respect. Furthermore, Salesmaster has always proactively developed and refined its systems to make the company a better employer and business partner than it was the year before. By ensuring it is second to none in such areas a technology, training, and recruiting, Salesmaster has built itself into a major force in the floor covering industry.
Today, the organization has two SuperCenter wholesale distribution facilities that service all of the northeastern United States, New York (eastern New York State from Albany to Long Island), New Jersey and all of New England. Located in Deer Park, New York and Chicopee, Massachusetts, the two SuperCenters are modern facilities designed specifically to provide enhanced customer service and improved logistics.
Among its 50+ employees, Salesmaster also has integrated 15 sales representatives on the road, including six Architecture and Design Specialists and a Technical Specialist. Through its Architect and Design Division, Salesmaster acts as a liaison between the architectural community, the general contractor, and the end user. Salesmaster assists all parties in making the proper specification for every application.
Salesmaster also has its own fleet of 13 trucks, including five tractor-trailers, which enables the company to create outstanding logistics solutions for our valued customers.
One of the defining factors of Salesmaster’s consistent growth is the emphasis on teamwork at every level. This unifying philosophy revolves around an unwavering commitment to excellent service, strong customer relationships, and loyal vendor partnerships. This is further evidenced by continuing education through formal training programs for both customer service staff and the sales staff.
